Nutrition and Hydration Week - 17th - 23rd March 2025
Nutrition and Hydration Week is an annual event that has taken place in March since 2012. It was originally aimed at the health & social care sector but now many people from different organisations participate.
Its purpose is to promote nutrition and hydration as a key part of maintaining health and well-being, to raise the awareness and educate people about the value of food and drink and to celebrate improvements in nutrition and hydration.
What activities can you do within your organisation?
- Events can include food tasting from different countries, you can provide information on the Malnutrition Screening Tool (MUST) and you can end the week with the Global Afternoon Tea Party.
- Employers can revisit health promotion messages around diet and hydration in the workplace by offering a 'lunch and learn' session, delivered by a recognised professional or by updating the notice board with topical, relevant fact sheets.
- Organizations can hold chef events, cook off competitions, and create training opportunities
- You can find resources for Nutrition and Hydration Week on the Nutrition and Hydration Week website.
